Whats New with Golden Tee Live 2012

All 35 Courses Now Available!

Every Golden Tee LIVE course ever created can now be played at any time! In the past, operators would have to change the classic courses in order for you to see some of the earlier LIVE creations. Now, however, all courses can be tackled in both Casual, Glory, Stats and Skins Play.

To access them, select Classic Courses at the Course Selection Screen. From here, simply move the trackball right or left to sort through the entire lineup of Golden Tee LIVE creations! From the fan favorite Rustic Bridge to your favorite course from last year. They're all yours!

A Third Spin Option: Bite

Gone are the days of just Backspin and Roll. In Golden Tee 2012, players have been given Bite. This latest form of spin will get your ball to stop quickly on the green rather than roll forward or spin backwards. To activate Bite simply press the Spin button three times and swing away.

Ideal for tricky par-3s and tougher greens, this new option will certainly provide another way to approach more difficult shots. Although the ball may not go in the cup as much when applied, it should help eliminate blowup holes and give you a safer alternative to stick greens.

New Clubs and Balls
Three new sets of golf clubs and three different types of golf balls have been added into Golden Tee 2012! In total, there are now 17 different club sets to pick from and 15 different types of golf balls to use during Glory, Stats or Prize Play.

New Clothing

From the reserved to the downright insane, in GT 2012 you now have more virtual clothing options for your golfer! More than 75 new items have been added, which can be earned through course achievements.

Golden Tee World Rankings

For the first time in its 23-year history, Golden Tee players will now be ranked based on their skill level!

Play one game on each of the 2012 courses within a given month, and you'll immediately be included in the Golden Tee World Rankings. The best score on each course will then be used to give an overall average, meaning a bad game won't hurt you! Your rank can be seen at the check-in screen on the game as well as on LIVEWIRE. At the first of the month these rankings will reset, and you'll then have a chance to improve your position from the previous month!

Whether you're battling for the top spot, trying to claim bar bragging rights or just want to beat your buddy – Golden Tee's World Rankings will offer up a new brand of fresh competition into the game.

YouTube™ Shots of the Week

With more than 200,000 total uploads, Golden Tee Great Shots have become an integral part of the game. Now, however, the truly brilliant shots will be showcased on the game itself!

Each week up to five different Golden Tee Great Shots will be selected to run in the attract mode of Golden Tee 2012 where the entire GT world can see! These videos will be shown more than 100,000 times a day on cabinets located all over the world!

Although you can share your shots on the Golden Tee Facebook Page, you won't need to submit your shot to be eligible. All uploads will go through a revised selection process and the best of the best will be shown on the game. Become a trackball legend with one unbelievably skilled or lucky shot!

Casual "Player of the Week" Drawings

In the past only those that participated in LIVE play had a chance at winning prizes. This is about to change, as long as this feature is enabled by your local operator.

On the 18th tee in a Casual game, players with a qualifying score will be asked if they'd like to be a part of a weekly drawing. If interested they'll simply enter their name and be automatically included in a drawing that will take place on the game at the end of each week. The prizes will vary from location to location, but it's something to look for if you play Casual at all.

Scores don't compete with other players around the world or even at your location? Here's a perfect way to potentially cash in simply by playing! Check with your location to see if they're taking advantage of this promotion.

Casual Golf Straight-Shots-Only Option

Eliminate mistakes and stay straight off the tee. Players now have the option to hit the ball straight with every shot.

At the start of a Casual game, all players will be asked if they would "Like to Use Curve Shots?" If they choose "Yes" then the trackball will operate as usual and players will be able to curve the ball in any direction. If "No" is selected then their shots will travel straight, similar to putting, and they won't have to worry about the direction of their pullback.

It's certainly not for everyone, but a solid option for the players that are simply looking to get off the tee and keep the game simple.
